Winston Churchill said of architecture, “We shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us.” Rochester firm SWBR has been shaping buildings for nearly a half century, and their work has shaped Rochester and beyond.
The architecture firm has undergone significant growth in the past several years, helping it land on the Rochester Chamber Top 100 list this year once again. Some of its projects have involved transforming old into new, like the revamping of the old Cunningham and Sons Carriage Factory in southwest Rochester into a housing project called DePaul’s Carriage Factory Apartments.
