SWBR Receives National Recognition for RIT MAGIC Spell Studios
Learning by Design Annual Awards of Excellence recognize the best new PK-12 and Higher Education learning environment projects and their architectural and interior design firms.
SWBR has been recognized in the Learning by Design Annual Awards of Excellence with an Honorable Mention Award in the College/University category for Rochester Institute of Technology’s MAGIC Spell Studios. The center provides professional quality studios and groundbreaking new technologies for the next generation of entrepreneurs in digital gaming, film, and animation.
The center’s vibrant, colorful, and whimsical interior was designed to stimulate, motivate, and inspire the students’ creative culture. Video game and film inspired designs can be found throughout the building. Said one juror: “The project is a creative and stimulating building both inside and on the exterior, reflective of subjects taught and explored in the facility. The word FUN pops in my mind.”
