Brickstone by St. John’s was designed to reinvent the concept of senior living by embracing new urbanism. Those efforts have resulted in Brickstone by St. John’s receiving the Award of Merit from Environments for Aging (EFA) for its 20th annual Design Showcase.
“We are proud that all of the hard work in creating Brickstone by St. John’s is being recognized, and thrilled that we are able to share it with the team at SWBR,” said Paul Bartlett, vice president of senior housing at St. John’s. “Brickstone has been a vision brought to life both aesthetically and functionally. It allows residents to live their lives freely and comfortably.”
Nearly 50 projects were submitted in this year’s showcase, an annual review of projects in senior-care settings, from conceptual designs to newly completed buildings. The jury panel included architects, interior designers, providers and consultants.
The winning projects will be profiled in EFA’s spring 2016 Design Showcase magazine. An award ceremony will be held April 9-12 at the EFA Conference in Austin, Texas. Leadership from SWBR and St. John’s will be present to accept the award.
