The Paychex Junior Achievement Discovery Center project has received a 2024 Excellence in Partnering Award from the Associated General Contractors of New York State. The annual award honors project teams that have achieved the high ideals of both formal and informal partnering on construction projects across the state.
The Discovery Center, a design-build partnership with LeChase Construction, SWBR, and Junior Achievement of Central Upstate NY, gives students the skills they need to own their economic success, plan their futures, and make smart academic choices. The learning lab, the first in New York, focuses on career awareness, financial self-sufficiency, and entrepreneurial thinking. It features 19 different storefronts where students become citizens in a simulated economy, exploring various careers, workforce readiness, and financial literacy.
The award ceremony was held Wednesday, December 11 in Saratoga Springs, NY.
