On November 29, our design team joined DePaul, along with state and local officials, to break ground for Mosaic Apartments in Schenectady, NY.
The $27 million affordable and supportive housing development will create 60 apartments in Schenectady’s Mont Pleasant neighborhood. The all-electric, energy-efficient development will include 30 apartments with onsite support services for seniors and people with disabilities. Mosaic Apartments will consist of one four-story building with 46 apartments and a three-story building with 14 apartments. All apartments will be affordable to households earning at or below 60 percent of the Area Median Income. Residents will be provided with free high-speed internet and laundry facilities in each building.
“This project is a revitalization of the whole area and the areas around it,” said Mark Fuller, DePaul President. “They named it the Mosaic Apartments because of the blend of cultures in the area coming together, so we’re very excited about this project.”
