Caitlin Ellis and Liz Reynolds Recognized in RBJ’s Excellence in Construction and Real Estate Awards

Congratulations to Project Architects Caitlin Ellis and Liz Reynolds on being Rochester Business Journal’s Excellence in Construction and Real Estate Award Winners!

Rochester Business Journal’s annual awards celebrate the individuals and companies who are changing the landscape of the Rochester region through design, construction, project management, lending, innovation and more. These individuals and their companies are creating jobs, building healthy spaces, helping families and companies achieve their dreams, and leading the way toward growth and prosperity for the community.

Recognized in the Architects category, Caitlin Ellis is a trusted architect whose clients know her as a responsive, detailed, and organized team player. Her design leadership has been central to the success of several noteworthy, award-winning projects for clients including Rochester Institute of Technology, University at Buffalo, SUNY Morrisville, and Cornell University. She also gives back to the community, volunteering with several organizations including Seneca Waterways Exploring Program’s Architecture Post 511, United Way, Nature Conservancy, and spent two years as a pitching coach for Our Lady of Mercy’s softball teams. She also contributes to SWBR’s Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion initiative and our firm’s award-winning efforts in the Rochester AIA Design Competition.

Recognized as a Rising Star, Liz Reynolds is a hardworking and talented architect who brings a lot of creative energy and passion to many of our housing design projects. She’s a committed designer that takes a unique approach to every project to tailor it to the client’s needs and better serve the people that occupy the space. Her clients, including Friendly Senior Living, St. John’s Home, Excelsior Communities, and DePaul, appreciate her integrity, professionalism, as well as her flexibility and efficiency managing projects throughout the design process. In addition to her design work, Liz has volunteered as a mentor with the ACE (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) Mentor Program of Rochester since 2015. The program aims to connect high school students interested in a career in the industry with local professionals in that field. She recently joined the Board of Directors as Co-Director of Education.
