Zion Hill Senior Housing

Rochester Management, Inc., a non-profit affordable housing development and management organization, has partnered with Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church on the new Zion Hill Senior Housing.

Located on vacant, underutilized urban lots, the new 45,000 SF apartment complex offers 45 one- and two-bedroom affordable senior apartments, with seven reserved for frail elderly with special needs. Rent ranges from 30% – 60% of the area median income. The building’s amenities include on-site community services, a fitness room, lounge, rooftop deck, community room, and laundry. The two- and three-story façade is broken down with a rhythm designed to evoke row houses. Brick accents highlight the building entrance and articulated cornices echo the rich stonework of times past. Individual patios and decks allow for resident engagement in community life, and a rooftop greenhouse peeks above the entrance, hinting at the elevated gardening space available to residents year-round.

Zion Hill increases available housing choices in the southwest side of downtown Rochester and raises the standard of living for local seniors and create a stronger community around them.
