Town Hall

SWBR was the lead architect on a new building to house current and future town services including Assessment, Building, Finance, Fire Marshal, Historian, IT, Planning/ Zoning, Supervisor, Town Clerk, for the Town of Victor. The Highway Department, Courts and the Parks and Recreation Departments will remain in their current locations.

Much attention was paid to the design of the exterior of the building. All four elevations of the building are made of stone and brick which are long lasting materials and very appropriate for the Village of Victor. On the front of the building, the entrance has been signaled by a pediment at the roof. This is reminiscent of the old Malone building, which is familiar to many of the long time residents.

Along with the masonry materials, an abundant amount of windows are throughout the design to allow the residents to see their government at work and to also bring daylight into the building. The design of the Victor Town Hall aimed to incorporate as many sustainable features as the budget allowed. The project team used the US Green Building Council LEED Rating System as a reference for incorporating sustainable elements into the building.
