Meadow Reserve of Irondequoit

Rochester Management has been developing and managing affordable housing for the Rochester community since 1949. In 2019, the non-profit organization purchased the former Wambach Farm site in Irondequoit, NY and teamed with SWBR in the design and construction of a new 76K SF senior living community. The new 80-unit affordable senior housing community provides seniors with the support they need to age in place and live independently, longer.

Located in a peaceful, park-like setting, each apartment has a balcony or patio and onsite amenities include a walking path, fitness room, computer lab, outdoor sitting areas, and a community room. All residents live in a space designed to accommodate changes in mobility as they age and are supported with an onsite Resident Service Associate. Rochester Regional Health provides supportive services for frail elderly living on site. There is a full time individual dedicated to identifying needs and another individual who links seniors with assistance with daily living tasks.

SWBR provided architecture, landscape architecture, structural engineering, and interior design services for the project.
