Affordable senior housing community that preserves and highlights the site’s rich history.
Ease of access to the Village of LeRoy downtown area, along with spectacular views of the adjacent Oatka Creek, led DePaul to choose a vacant lumber mill site for a new affordable senior housing development. The building pays tribute to the former Lapp Lumber Mill by incorporating significant millwork and other architectural features from the mill into the building’s new central main lobby and community room. Its history is highlighted for residents and visitors through historic photos and educational commentary.
