Irondequoit Recreation Brand Identity

Empowering the Recreation program with an energetic new identity.

The Town of Irondequoit seized the opportunity to transform a portion of their former mall into a community center to house its recreation programming, including a fitness center and communal space for residents of all ages. The recreation team hired SWBR’s Graphic Design group to design a new brand identity for them to unveil in the new community center. Our work included an audit of the recreation programs existing identity, visioning/strategy/goal setting, positioning, and graphic communication for web and color palette, typography, program cover, and advertisement concepts. The final solution is more playful and better reflects the spirit of the recreation program, the employee who work in it, and will influence the public perception of the recreation program’s unique brand.

Flexible and Versatile

Previous brand assets lacked consistency and versatility − critical in today’s world. The new identity offers flexibility for future growth and the bold one-color logo can be applied with ease.
