Construction has finished at Frances Apartments, an $11.8 million housing development in the Town of Sweden. The housing complex offers 56 affordable housing units with 14 providing services to families and persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The complex consists of seven, two-story buildings, with eight units per building. The property offers 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments and a community building. The project is consistent with the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities’ Transformation Plan to provide Olmstead compiant, community based, integrated housing options for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live in the most integrated and least restrictive settings possible.
