Congratulations to Project Designer Paras Nandu on completing the Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC) training program through the Passive House Institute US (Phius), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting rigorous energy efficiency standards in North America.
Passive House projects are designed to achieve exceptional energy efficiency, reducing energy use by up to 85% while only costing 3-5% more to build than conventional buildings. Paras’ Phius certification, along with his expertise in building performance and sustainability, supports SWBR’s commitment to the AIA 2030 Commitment to carbon neutrality.
As a Project Designer, Paras assists with drafting, construction documents, and design development on a variety of higher education projects. As a CPHC, he provides building performance expertise, analyzes energy performance, ensures compliance with Passive House standards, and serves as a liaison between the design team and the Passive House Institute.
Paras graduated from D.Y. Patil College of Architecture and earned his Master of Architecture from Rochester Institute of Technology.
