On Wednesday, November 20, we celebrated the grand opening of our new corporate headquarters with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local officials and dignitaries. The new office, located in the historic Sibley Square in downtown Rochester, marks an exciting chapter after having outgrown our previous office of over 30 years.
The move is part of our continued commitment to downtown revitalization and sustainability. We chose the location for its historic significance and central location in the city. “We are energized to actively participate in the revitalization of our urban core,” said President, Tom Gears, AIA. “Sibley Square’s rich history aligns perfectly with our identity as a downtown firm.”
Our design team transformed the fourth floor of the former department store into a contemporary design studio. Drawing inspiration from the concept of “work from anywhere,” the design promotes flexibility and collaboration. Common amenity spaces offer a variety of work environments and technology integration supports a mobile work style.
Biophilic design elements, including a living moss wall, create a connection to nature and promote health and wellbeing. The clean design aesthetic provides a calm and bright working environment with pops of energy and color provided by digital displays of project showcases and personal touches at individual desks.
“The design team did an incredible job of creating a space tailored to our unique team,” said Gears. “They transformed space in a historic building into a beautiful and modern design studio that inspires and energizes us and will serve us well as we grow.”
The ribbon cutting celebration was followed by an open house where guests had the opportunity to tour the new office.
