Building addition will provide sustainable, affordable, and supportive homes for veterans.
Livingston Apartments II, part of a historic school turned apartment community, will provide affordable, supportive housing for formerly homeless veterans.
The project team aims for Phius 2021 and Energy Star certifications, DOE Zero Energy Ready Homes, and EPA Indoor AirPlus programs. The Net Zero design features continuous insulation, triple pane windows, ground-source heat pumps, and central CO2-based air-to-water domestic hot water heat pump system. The community will include a food pantry, community room, nature paths, and courtyard memorial. The columbarium will serve as a dignified memorial for military veterans. Non-profit organization Soldier On will provide mental health and support services.
