James Newbury Hotel Complex
Coxsackie, NY is revitalizing its downtown, transforming neglected areas into a vibrant community with waterfront views of the Hudson River. Flach Development purchased industrial buildings on South River Street in 2019, planning to transform them into an entertainment and hospitality venue. One building was demolished due to structural issues and replaced by the James Newbury Hotel, named after the ironworks company that originally occupied the site.
The unique five-story boutique hotel incorporates both contemporary and historic design features, including brick and artifacts from the site. Features include a rooftop bar, bridal suite, private conference room, library, and spa. The industrial design of the 13,500 SF Wire Event Center preserves several elements of the 19th century building.
