Candice’s diverse background includes significant finance experience in the local sector and multi-state jurisdictions, make her a welcome addition to our Finance team. She supports our Education studio with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and resource plans. She also assists the Controller with various month-end and year-end accounting tasks.
A former firefighter with the US Airforce, Candice runs a non-profit providing peer-to-peer support for those in emergency services. She credits her passion for renovation for drawing her to a job in the field of architecture. Her long-term goal is to rehabilitate rundown homes and give them a new life and purpose. “The knowledge I can gain from the talented professionals here can help me make the best of my endeavors down the line.” She also owns her own contracting business which keeps her up to date on laws and regulations in the construction industry.
When asked what excites her about the future of architecture, she said, “Architecture is both timeless and ever-changing. You can bring historical properties back to life and keep their original beauty while modernizing them with sophisticated technology.”
Candice earned her certification in Emergency Medical Technology and is certified as a Peer-to-Peer support specialist for military veterans and emergency services. She also runs her own baking business that offers healthy and delicious options for baked goods.
