St. John Fisher University DePeters Family Center IET

The DePeters Family Center for Innovation and Teaching Excellence provides the Fisher community with collaborative leadership for the design and delivery of innovative teaching and learning activities. Located in Basil Hall, the vibrant center allows faculty to experiment with creative instructional approaches and have access to high-quality tools and classroom spaces.

The Center incorporates several unique and innovative spaces that model best practices and support faculty in professional development. It includes a model active learning classroom of the future with a flexible layout, mobile-friendly technology, and work areas that allow for movement during the learning process. The corresponding color palette for the furniture and flooring were chosen to assist with classroom set up and instruction layouts. There are new staff offices and a one-on-one consultation area.

The new recording studio is a state-of-the-art audio and video studio for creating high-quality course materials. It includes a PC, a Mac, cameras, microphones, and a green screen.
