2020-2021 Capital Improvement Project

In 2019, the District set a five-year goal to increase college courses, leverage technology, raise awareness of career options, provide more spaces for collaboration and creativity, and upgrade the campus to make it more inclusive.

Projects at the Middle/High School included a new large group instruction/STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) classroom, learning center, operations office, renovated student lounge and cafeteria, updated locker room, and gender-neutral bathrooms. The new Hydroponics Lab, which supports the Agricultural Education Program, teaches students to grow plants without soil.

The two dated playgrounds were each removed and replaced with a larger footprint and includes equipment that is wheelchair accessible. The state-of-the-art playground equipment includes an obstacle course, is lower maintenance, meets critical safety standards, and meets the needs of the elementary school’s different age groups. Wayfinding signage was introduced to aid first-time visitors to primary destinations on campus.

The tennis area tripled in size with the renovation of three existing courts and the addition of three new courts. Located adjacent to the new tennis courts is a storage building with ADA restrooms. Other upgrades included a new asphalt walking path to the baseball and softball fields and upgraded basketball courts at the elementary school playground.
