Bloomfield Central School District 2020-2021 Capital Improvement Project

Empowering learners through innovation and inclusivity.

In 2019, the District set a five-year goal to increase college courses, leverage technology, raise awareness of career options, provide more spaces for collaboration and creativity, and upgrade the campus to make it more inclusive. Middle/High School projects included a new student lounge, hydroponics lab, gymnasium improvements, large group instruction/STEM classroom, and learning center. The transportation renovation includes a new training center, staff breakroom, and offices. Elementary school projects included gymnasium improvements, two new wheelchair accessible playgrounds, tennis courts and basketball court upgrades and a storage building with ADA bathrooms.

Gymnasium

Gymnasium improvements included a new floor and upgraded bleachers.

Hydroponics Lab

The new Hydroponics Lab, which supports the Agricultural Education Program, teaches students to grow plants without soil.

Tennis Courts

The tennis area tripled in size with the renovation of three existing courts, the addition of three new courts, and a new storage building with restrooms.

Outdoor Upgrades

Other upgrades at the elementary school include a new walking path to baseball and softball fields and upgraded basketball courts.
