On May 14, CMO Dave Beinetti, AIA, was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Builders Exchange of Rochester. Their annual Craftsmanship & Lifetime Achievement Awards celebrate and honor the craftsmen and craftswomen who have excelled in these principles in both a particular project and throughout their careers. The Lifetime Achievement Award honors those who make an outstanding contribution to the community and to the construction industry.
Throughout his 40+ year career, Dave has been dedicated to positively impacting the built environment, whether it be through his impressive design portfolio or his dedication to community development and service. His contribution to New York State’s architectural landscape extends beyond his design portfolio of high-profile projects for higher education, corporate, and industrial clients.
He is a passionate advocate for sustainable design and has helped lead SWBR to embrace sustainability within its design work and culture and is a founding member of the Rochester Sustainability Collaborative. For over 20 years, Beinetti has worked to raise awareness of the importance of environmental stewardship and sustainability – with a specific focus on businesses and individuals and the decisions they make daily that affect our environment.
Dave is also deeply committed to making a positive impact on the community, both in the City of Rochester and throughout the State of New York. He has participated in multiple professional and community organizations during his career, providing a substantial impact on the built environment. As a previous Board Chair for the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation, he worked to promote the city’s urban redevelopment. As a Board Member for the Monroe Community College Foundation, Dave is committed to raising scholarship money for students that otherwise might not have the opportunity to attend college.
Other professional and charitable organizations he is involved with include the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association, Design Build Institute of American, Brown’s Race Task Force, City of Rochester Project Review Committee, Flower City Work Camp, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Refuge Rochester Refugee Resettlement Program.
The awards ceremony was held at the Monroe Golf Club in Rochester, NY.
