St. Lawrence University Kirk Douglas Hall

This flexible 3 and 4 story residence houses 155 students within 9 residential neighborhoods. Three of the residential neighborhoods are configured to support first year or upper class occupancy. Six smaller neighborhoods are ideal for upper class and senior use. Each neighborhood includes common spaces for academic and social use. Large common spaces serving both the building and campus include a grab and go cafe on the first floor, a flexible “great room” on the fourth floor linking the north and south wings, and a multi-use commons on the third floor.

A large portal through the building provides a visual connection linking the entry of the Noble Arts Center with the historic quad and Chapel to the west.
