On June 28, our design team, including Senior Project Manager Matt Lupiani, AIA and Senior Project Manager Allison Shannon, AIA, joined Auburn Enlarged City School District officials to celebrate the start of construction on their 2019-2023 Capital Improvement Project. The two-part groundbreaking ceremony was held at Owasco and Genesee Elementary Schools.
The event kicked off at Owasco Elementary School on Letchworth Street. Work at the school will include significant accessibility and security upgrades, site improvements, and an addition.
The group then moved the celebration to Genesee Elementary School on Genesee Street. Project work there includes accessibility and security upgrades, an addition, site improvements, and playscape and playground upgrades.
Auburn ECSD’s 2019-2023 Capital Improvement Project will also include improved air quality at all school buildings with modernized HVAC systems. The interior spaces at the main offices will be renovated and reconfigured, health suites will be upgraded, several staff offices will be modernized, and there will be significant improvements to overall site access throughout the district.
The project is expected to be completed in Fall 2021.
