SWBR welcomes new, and returning, 2020 summer interns to the firm.
Charles Bruce
Second-year intern Charles Bruce is an intern as part of an SWBR sponsored scholarship he earned from the Urban League of Rochester in 2019. An architecture student at Virginia Tech with a 2023 expected graduation date, he is working this summer in our Education studio where he’s assisting on K12 renovations and modeling existing building elements in Revit. Outside of SWBR, he likes to paint and build fountains.
Aly Mancuso
Aly Mancuso, another second-year intern, and part of our Housing studio, graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and completed her master’s degree in May 2020. On returning for another summer, she said, “I’m excited to be back at SWBR and see all the familiar faces from last summer. Although the conditions are different, I have been welcomed back and am already jumping right back into exciting projects.”
Kyle Taylor
Alfred State student Kyle Taylor is part of our Education studio. He was drawn to architecture because he enjoys the process of creating buildings – drawing, collaborating with peers, presenting ideas, and working with bright people. He was offered an internship after being recognized as a Black Scholar in high school and winning an SWBR sponsored scholarship from the Urban League of Rochester. He’s expected to graduate in 2023.
