Lifetime Assistance is the largest, most comprehensive agency in the Greater Rochester area serving children and adults with developmental disabilities. Lifetime provides a full spectrum of services for persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Mental Retardation and Neurological Impairments.
When the organization decided to transform three Day Services Centers in Rochester – Lowry Center, Weiland Road and Paul Road – from traditional classroom service environments into fully accessible, comforting and motivating centers, SWBR was brought in to design the transformations. Once complete, the accessible, spacious and flexible suites will promote independence, learning, a sense of community, self-esteem and personal growth, all in a warm, natural, comforting environment. The $5.1 million project includes a $750,000 challenge grant from The Golisano Foundation.
