We celebrated our 50th year in business – in style – at our annual Rochester International Jazz Festival client reception. Nearly 500 people, including clients, employees, and colleagues, showed up to celebrate with us at Max of Eastman Place. Many of our retired principals were also on hand to help celebrate our proud 50-year heritage of positively impacting lives through meaningful design.
Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce CEO Bob Duffy presented the firm with a commemorative plaque while thanking us for our contribution to Monroe County and the City of Rochester. Also on hand were Deputy Mayor James Smith from the City of Rochester, Deputy Monroe County Executive Tom VanStrydonck, Helen Deubler representing Senator Rich Funke, Patricia Anthony representing Senator Joe Robach, and Allan Richards, representing Harry Brosnan – all of whom presented Proclamations in recognition of our success. Monroe County even declared June 21, 2019 ‘SWBR Day.’
President Tom Gears, AIA gave a speech thanking the team for making SWBR a success and all of our guests for celebrating with us. CMO Dave Beinetti, AIA also presented gifts to the firm’s retired principals.
We were lucky to have fantastic weather, music, and food, along with wonderful, fun guests to celebrate this milestone. A great time was had by all!
