Shirah Cahill, ASLA Named Finalist for IGNITE Future Leader’s Award

The IGNITE Award – given by the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce – recognizes a young professional for leadership, community service, and personal and professional achievements. The goal is to recognize and celebrate Rochester’s future leaders who serve as a positive influence in bettering the community.

As a Landscape Designer, Shirah Cahill, ASLA is passionate about person centered design in all arenas and the power of public space to improve people’s quality of life. While her design and planning portfolio consist of urban design, neighborhood design and affordable housing work, her true passion is to plan and design beautiful exterior environments for senior living communities. Her passion for senior living communities helped to earn her the annual David Green Memorial Award, given by the Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Environments (SAGE), to a promising up-and-coming thought leader in the senior living industry.

The award will be presented at the Re:Generation: Empowering Rochester’s Future Leaders event Thursday, June 13 at Arbor at the Port in Rochester.

Congratulations Shirah!
