Leticia Blaya Fornataro, AIA, Named Finalist of the 2019 Athena Young Professional Award

The ATHENA Young Professional Award honors emerging women leaders who demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession. Recipients also show their commitment to community service and serve as a role model for young women, both personally and professionally.

As a Project Manager, Leticia Blaya Fornataro, AIA specializes in senior living with a particular focus on creating communities for active and independent residents. Her commitment to improving lives also extends into the community. She’s served as a as a volunteer on the Rochester Chapter AIA, is a mentor and guest lecturer at the Rochester Institute of Technology School of Architecture, and has played key roles on the Town of Pittsford Design Review and Historic Preservation Board and the Kirkhaven Board of Directors. She also led the development of the WForum internally at SWBR, with the goal of bringing more women into leadership roles within the firm.
