SWBR was recently recognized by the New York State American Institute of Architects (AIA) with the 2018 Excelsior Honor Award in its New Construction category for the design of Wedgepoint Apartments in Rochester.
“The South Wedge is a thriving neighborhood where residents feel connected with each other and are committed to making it a better place to live, work, socialize and raise a family,” SWBR Senior Project Architect Rob Fornataro, AIA, said.
Developed by PathStone Corporation, Wedgepoint Apartments is a 60-unit affordable housing project in the South Wedge Neighborhood of Rochester, New York. Designed with social equity in mind, Wedgepoint achieves a healthy density through maximizing social, economic and cultural interactions.
In addition to housing, the property includes commercial space that provides jobs to area residents and services to tenants in the building and the community.
