Windsor Central School District budgeted $12M for facility improvements at the High school, Middle School and C.R. Weeks and Floyd L. Weeks Elementary schools, and their respective sites. The project goal was to provide improvements focusing on to educational technology, health and safety, ADA accessibility and energy efficiency of the district academic buildings.
Major exterior improvements included the redesign and reconstruction of over 200,000 SF of the roofs at Weeks Elementary and the High School. The new roof at Weeks provided numerous design challenges in reroofing concrete, non-insulated “folded plate” roof deck with a system meeting required fire ratings and wind uplift of the uniquely shaped roof.
