SWBR Architects was referred to Jewish Home Lifecare by The Green House Project to provide design review services in an effort to help reduce projected building size and construction cost. After analysis of the design documents SWBR was able to propose a conceptual design which reduced floor plate size by roughly one thousand square feet per floor.
The proposed concept was noted by the client to offer elder and staffing advantages as well, reducing travel distances and optimizing service routes. Building massing was analyzed and the pictured concept reduced building volume while promoting a contextual design responsive to the neighboring community.
