SWBR Architects supported Garber Automotive’s goal to re-brand its facilities, with nine additions on three existing buildings. Each building needed an alteration, ranging from a coat of paint to a complete reconstruction. The Garber Automotive Group is headquartered in Saginaw Michigan and operates many auto sales facilities in 5 states. The Garber Team provided major additions and alterations to the recently acquired facilities as part of a corporate image update program. The updates include new finishes and furnishings, new facades and showrooms.
The first part of this multi-phased project involved working on a new Used Vehicle Sales Facility which opened in January of 2013. The next phases of the project included renovations to the Honda Dealership and The Audi Dealership. The former Mercedes Building was also renovated to have a new dealership as the tenant. The Garber team provided new signage, lighting and site amenities to compliment the proposed work. Working in partnership with LeFrois Builders and Garber Automotive, SWBR was able to create a close knit team that successfully phased construction, managed work flow and information so that Garber was able to successfully operate throughout construction and still meet aggressive timelines.
