Working closely with the Superintendents, facility committees and Board of Education, SWBR has successfully implanted capital improvement projects since 2004, for roofs, windows, parking lots, lighting, brick restoration, exterior steps and canopies, window walls, classroom reconfigurations, hallway upgrades for flooring, lighting and wall treatments, offices, resource rooms, gymnasiums, libraries, storage rooms, boiler rooms, science labs, computer rooms, lecture halls, toilet rooms and cafeterias. Associated with these space types, the heating, ventilation, controls, air-conditioning and plumbing elements were upgraded for efficiencies and maintenance advantages. Phasing the work in nine buildings provided a control on user impact, savings for bonding and control of contractor pacing.
