Johanna Amico
Operations Analyst

Johanna is SWBR’s Operations Analyst and is primarily responsible for resource planning and scheduling including weekly and long range plans, creating new projects and proposal numbers on our network, assisting the Finance Manager with posting of cash receipts, project reporting, archiving, scanning and filing. She is also our Vision administrator, maintaining and developing our project cost accounting software and an expert in Excel.

Dennis J. Baszynski
Senior Technical Coordinator

Dennis brings over 25 years of expertise in building technology to SWBR. He is thoroughly knowledgeable about codes and their implications on construction. His thorough attention to details and construction documentation make him a valuable member of our Life Services Studio.

Patricia Cafferky
Architectural Designer

As a recent architecture graduate from Syracuse University and newly appointed architectural designer in SWBR's Syracuse Office, Trish will be responsible for collaborating on schematic design, design documentation and coordination with consultants. While at SU, she served as an intern for AKA Architects in New York City and Hart Design Group in Massachusetts. She recently was nominated to compete in SU’s School of Architecture’s annual Thesis Prize Awards Jury.

Shirah Cahill
Landscape Architect

As a Landscape Designer, Shirah finds creative landscape design solutions in mostly urban development projects that have an opportunity to foster community and improve quality of life. Her most recent positon was Director of Ecology for Complejos Residenciales in Queretaro, Mexico. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University of Toronto, Ontario, and a Master of Landscape Architecture from SUNY Environmental College of Science and Forestry in Syracuse.

Kenneth J. Christiano, CSI, CDT
Senior Technical Coordinator

During Ken’s 19+ years with SWBR, he has served as both a Technical Coordinator and Construction Administrator for a wide variety of projects. As a Technical Coordinator he oversees construction phase services for projects. As a Construction Administrator, Ken is responsible for processing shop drawings, reviewing applications for payment, processing change orders, site visits to monitor progress and quality of construction, resolution of RFI and field conditions, and project closeout processes and is a great asset to our team.

Victor M. Cruz
Reprographics Assistant

Victor heads up SWBR’s Reprographics department having full responsibility for our in-house printing operations. He produces large format black and white and color printing, specification and bid sets and all construction documents for both offices of the firm.

Kathleen A. DeLuca
Technical Coordinator

Kathy is a Technical Coordinator in SWBR’s Life Services Studio. She is responsible for assisting Project Managers and Architects in document production and design work, providing coordination between consultant groups and the client, and assisting in client meetings.

Nicholas Durnin, Jr
Architectural Designer

Durnin is responsible for designing and producing accurate drawings based on project and client needs. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Technology from Alfred State College.

Sam Elliott, LEED Green Associate
Architectural Designer

Sam is an Architectural Designer responsible for drafting construction documents and creating Revit building models. Sam has his Bachelor’s of Arts in Environmental Studies from Allegheny College and a Master of Architecture from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He joins us full-time after working as an SWBR intern for over six months.

Caitlin Ellis
Architectural Designer

Caitlinis an Architectural Designer in SWBR’s Rochester office. She is responsible for assisting Project Managers and Architects in document production and design work, providing coordination between consultant groups and the client, and assisting in client meetings.

Marlee Finestone
Landscape Designer

Marlee supports the Landscape Architecture and Planning department. She assists with the planning, design and development of projects, including preparing site plans, initial concept designs and construction documents. She works within the education, housing and commercial sectors on projects.

Corina Folts, CID, NCIDQ
Interior Designer

As an interior designer Corina is responsible for finish and furniture material selections for many of our key clients. She is involved in all phases of design, conducting product research, estimating, managing schedules, applying code reviews and presenting interior design recommendations. She is an award-winning, Certified Interior Designer and has the National Council for Interior Design Qualification.

Sandi Ford
Finance Assistant

Sandi is SWBR’s Finance Assistant and is primarily responsible for processing payroll, client payments and assisting in obtaining all aspects of the firm’s financial goals. Sandi recently was voted the 2012 Employee of the Year. One of the many reasons for this honor is that “Sandi is always willing to help anyone with a task that they have to do and she does her job extremely well without complaint.”

Peter Foti
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

Peter is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in drafting schematic design, construction documents, design development, drafting, client and consulting meeting coordination and building condition surveys. Peter received a Bachelors of Arts in Financial Economics from the University of Rochester and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Buffalo.

Christopher Frank
Architectural Designer

Chris is an Architectural Designer and has more than 10 years of drafting and design experience. He is currently assisting architects with projects for Danisco, Eastman Kodak, Bausch & Lomb and the University of Rochester.

Jing Yi Huang
Architectural Designer

As Architectural Designer, Jing Yi designs and documents production, assists the firm’s project architects and managers and performs site visits. She received a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University.

Elvedin Krupic
Technical Coordinator

Elvedin studied architecture at the College of Architecture in Sarajevo. After his arrival in the U.S., Elvedin started work at SWBR as the Print Room Manager and then moved to the position of Drafter. Elvedin has been with the firm for over 18 years. In addition to his field survey work, he has constructed models for various buildings and has served as a drafter and technical coordinator on several projects.

Jeff LaDue, AIA
Senior Project Manager

Jeff specializes in complex addition and renovation projects for technically challenging programs such as advanced manufacturing, clean technology, industry and laboratories. He received a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Building Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Elissa Maida
Finance Assistant

Elissa is responsible for assisting the finance manager with departmental duties including billing and contract management, collections and project resource planning and scheduling. She also will be responsible for providing support to project managers and principals. Maida earned her Associates Degree in Accounting from Monroe Community College.

Jodi Mason, CID
Interior Designer / ASID, NCIDQ #22238

Jodi’s experience in healthcare and educational design make her an asset to any project team. She brings a strong emphasis to project management including coordination of drawings and one on one interaction with clients. Jodi works in several market sectors, but has recently focused on interior design for senior housing.

Architectural Designer

Joe is an Architectural Designer responsible for assisting project managers and architects in document production and design work, providing coordination between consultant groups and the client, and assisting in client meetings. Joe also brings more than five years of experience in design, milling, framing and construction of both residential and commercial structures.

Lisa C. Morgia
Senior Administrative Assistant

Lisa is an Executive Assistant and Specifications Coordinator, assisting across all of SWBR’s studios to provide administrative support. She is also the coordinator for SWBR’s product sessions and CSI Assistant for the CSI Vendor Night. She brings strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail to support projects in a well-organized manner.

Kyle Morris
Architectural Designer

Based out of our Syracuse office, architectural designer Morris will be responsible for design, coordination and production efforts on all project types. He has more than 10 years of experience in the industry and brings an expertise in building code to the SWBR team. Morris earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology from Alfred State College.

Kimberly Mura
Marketing Coordinator

As part of the marketing department, Kim manages and prepares RFP responses and proposal letters, qualification packages and communications. She assists with various marketing duties such as tradeshow coordination, award submissions, distribution of marketing materials, updating employee resumes and project bio-sheets and helps to prepare client interviews.

Diana Kalvitis-Pannone, ASID, CID, LEED Green Associate
Sr. Interior Designer

Diana has been a Certified Interior Designer for over two decades, and has spent 23 years designing commercial interiors for SWBR. Her experience in corporate, retail, educational and senior living makes her an asset to any team. Diana treats every project as a unique design problem, each receiving careful and thoughtful consideration with personalized creativity that accentuates the clients functional and aesthetic goals. Most valuable are her strong organizational skills that enable her to manage the finer details of a project in a well-organized, concise manner. Diana's passion for exceptional design has earned her projects many design awards over the years, as well as being published in retail design magazine VS+SD and in various product marketing publications and newsletters.

Jaimie Patton
Structural Designer

Jaimie is an intern Structural Engineer with over five years experience working on educational projects understanding and integrating new design concepts with existing conditions. Experienced in pre-engineered building designs as well as; commercial and municipal buildings. Proficient in several design programs including RAM Structural Systems, RAM Elements, ENERCALC and Architectural Desktop. Trained in Revit. Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) certified.

Erik Reynolds, CDT
Architectural Designer

Erik is an Architectural Designer responsible for drafting construction documents and creating Revit building models. An Alfred State College graduate, Erik joins us full-time after working as an SWBR intern for six months.

Kris Sambor
Graphic Designer

Kris brings graphic design experience with a focus on service-based companies. He supports all facets of graphic design at the firm, including client signage and brand refreshes. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alfred University.

Deborah M. Smith
Director of First Impressions

Debbie has been with SWBR for over 30 years and provides administrative support for the entire firm. Her great attitude, flexibility and professionalism provide a welcoming environment for both our clients and staff.

Dylan Smith
Architectural Designer

Dylan is responsible for partnering with architects and teams on the design and coordination of the firm’s projects through all phases of the design process. He brings over six years of experience in building renovation and rehabilitation, with a focus on building enclosure detailing and improving building performance through meaningful design. He received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Syracuse University.

Megan Smith
Interior Designer

In her role as interior designer, Megan is responsible for creating presentation boards for clients, monitoring current sustainable products and trends, and selecting the correct materials, furniture and space planning. She has experience assisting designers with material selection, AutoCAD drawings, site visits, client meetings and project development. Megan received her associate degree from Monroe Community College and a bachelor’s degree from Villa Maria College.

Kathy is an Administrative Assistant who assists across all of SWBR’s studios to provide administrative support. She brings strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail to support projects in a well-organized manner.

John B. Sousa
Senior Structural Designer

John is a Senior Structural Designer and is responsible for the design of structural systems, integration and coordination with architects and consultants, and oversees structural drawing production and coordination for industrial, academic, commercial, medical and residential buildings.

Jim Vekasy, RA, LEED AP
Project Architect

As a project architect, Jim will be involved in all phases of a project. He is currently working on the Canandaigua VA Medical Center Home project, part of a $200 million upgrade to the VA facilities. Prior to joining SWBR, he worked as project architect in Boston for ten years on large government, municipal, transportation, housing and university projects. He earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture from Syracuse University.

Pauline is an Administrative Assistant who assists across all of SWBR’s studios to provide administrative support. She brings a high level of organizational skills and attention to detail to support projects in a well-organized manner.
