With a touch of virtual reality and a Hollywood-style movie trailer and poster, Rochester Institute of Technology launched the SWBR-designed building that will house MAGIC Spell Studios. The program, a first-of-its-kind effort in higher education, will link RIT's internationally ranked academic programs with high-tech facilities needed to commercialize computer gaming, film and animation, and digital media projects.

"Some of the best game programming in the world is happening here in Rochester and MAGIC Spell Studios will do even more to make us the Silicon Valley of this job-creating field. I'm proud strategic state investment will help take RIT's unrivaled brainpower to market and grow local jobs and investment along the way. My thanks to RIT and its public and private sector partners for their commitment to this center and our entire community."
- State Sen. Rich Funke, 55th District
