Nazareth College Announces Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

Nazareth College recently announced the plans to move forward with a $16.5 million Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute on their campus. SWBR Architects will be serving as architect on the project. Nazareth College President Daan Braveman gave details on the Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute, stating that it was made possible by a commitment of $6.5 million in gifts from Larry and Nancy Peckham, Drs. Dawn and Jacques Lipson, and an anonymous donor.

Nazareth's new wellness and rehabilitation center will not only benefit students on campus. It's a facility that's also going to be available for community use. Set to open in fall 2014, the institute plans to expand the existing educational and clinical facilities of the college’s School of Health and Human Services. The facility will be dedicated to nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, social work, creative arts therapy as well as pre-medical and pre-dental studies. SWBR is proud to be playing a part in the design of this multi-faceted building.
