McQuaid Jesuit HS Completes Renovation Project

SWBR Architects is pleased to announce they have recently completed a renovation and expansion at McQuaid Jesuit High School. The estimated $3.6 million project includes 4,500 square feet of new construction and 12,750 square feet of renovations.

Six new general purpose classrooms were added to the school to make room for the approximately 100 new 6th grade students who will be attending McQuaid for the first time this year. The project also included a complete renovation to the school’s kitchen and servery, which contained original 1950’s features. A boiler plant and electrical service upgrade was also included in the project scope.
Steve Rebholz, principal at SWBR, states that “the servery renovation will make a fundamental change in how the cafeteria functions and the food offerings which will be available in the future.  The classrooms are state-of-the-art and assist both teachers and students to succeed”.

The McQuaid renovation project began in February of 2012 and was completed in September 2012.
