Long Pond Senior Housing Breaks Ground
Local leaders broke ground today on the new Long Pond Senior Housing Project in the Town of Greece. This project is a 54-unit supportive rental housing project for seniors 55 and older. The project has received funding, and has already received much acclaim, due to its forward thinking which addresses the state’s Medicaid Redesign concepts by providing a creative alternate solution to assist seniors in their supportive housing needs. 45 of the 54 units will receive project based vouchers and 27 of the units will be licensed for case management, housekeeping, and laundry service, as well as three meals a day. The development will also have a licensed enriched living community.
The project is being led by Rochester's Cornerstone Group, Ltd. and PathStone Development Corporation.
Completion is expected in Fall 2015 and will be LEED for Homes certified when complete.
