We are pleased to announce that DePaul Carriage Factory Apartments has won a NAIOP Project Excellence Award.  The NAIOP awards celebrate the high-quality and innovative achievements of regional commercial real estate projects from the Upstate New York area, covering the Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse regions. There are several award categories, and each winner represents the challenge that was overcome and realized results that were economically, environmentally and/or aesthetically achieved.  The project has received several awards this year for historic preservation and affordable housing excellence.

The project team included DePaul, a not-for-profit developer of supportive housing; SWBR Architects; The Community Preservation Corporation of Albany; Christa Construction of Victor; historic preservation consultant Michael Puma; DJ Parrone Associates; and Betts Housing Partners LLC of Albany. The project utilized Low Income Housing Tax Credits and State and Federal Historic Tax Credits and received support from the New York State Housing Trust Fund; Finger Lakes Economic Development Council; and the City of Rochester.
